Hoto noodles @ Kawaguchiko

11:36 PM

Kawaguchiko is famous for hoto (ほうとう) noodles, which is made of flat udon noodles, mixed with vegetables in miso soup. It taste abit like Chinese pan mee but lighter in seasoning.

We went to this restaurant that is right infront of Kawaguchiko train station. It was around 3-4pm and there was no other customers at that time.

The typical serving of Hoto noodles...

Some of the preserved vegetables which taste weird...

1050 Yen for flour and vegetables... I don't think it's worth it. I wasn't satisfied.

If I were to back there again, I think I'm going to eat something else. But it's worth a try, once!
