By Bus

At Kawaguchiko Station, take Chuo Highway bus to Shinjuku.

Fare: 1700 Yen

Travelling time: approx. 45 min from Kawaguchiko to Shinjuku

Alternatively, if by train,

From Kawaguchiko Station, take Fujikyu Railway Line to Otsuki Station (about 1 hour ride @1100 Yen).

And from Otsuki Station, take Chuo Line by local train (takes about 1 hour 40 minutes @1280 Yen) or limited express train (takes about 1 hour 10 min @2700 Yen) to Shinjuku Station @ Tokyo.

We chose to travel by bus as it was cheaper and faster.
