From hotel, we walked about 10 minutes to Himeji Castle, one of the World Heritage Site.

@ entrance of Himeji Castle. Just like most castles, Himeji Castle is surrounded by water.

Himeji Castle is a very good example of a typical Japanese castle.
It is one of most famous castle in Japan and it is the one that attracts the most visitors.

Himeji Castle comprises 83 wooden building and it is often called as "White Heron" because of its all white exterior walls.

Entrance ticket: 600 Yen

Princess Sen lived in this castle. Apparently she lost her son and her husband by the age of 30 and spent the rest of her life in the castle til the age of 70. T.T
